The Egan Report has brought about the Rethinking Construction Agenda stating that the construction sector is not as innovative or efficient as it could be. There is a requirement for more committed leadership, a greater focus on the customer, a commitment to people, better integrated processes and a quality driven agenda.
The Efficiency Agenda prompted by the Gershon Review proposes that the key thing is not just to lower prices but to look at value for money. Savings are important, but consideration also has to be given to where they come from and how they are used.
